Bizarre Encounters with Gavin, Candy Heists, and A Mikey Podcast Christmas!

First things first, let’s talk about the upcoming extravaganza we’re all waiting for – A Mikey Podcast Christmas! Sponsored by Hanford Sand and Gravel (you know, those rock-solid folks), this event will be the holiday celebration of the year.

Think of it as a combination of Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and a wild house party all rolled into one. Mark your calendars for December 8th and don’t even think about missing it! 🎄🎉

We’ve got a handful of incredible sponsors on board too – Karricker Customs fretted instrument maintenance expert (for when your banjo gets all moody), Middlescapes landscaping (because your garden deserves love, too), The Wrecking Crew bakery and café in Colfax, and Better Together Entertainment (who are genuinely better when they’re together).

These sponsors are the real MVPs, and we salute their awesomeness. 🙌

Gavin Newsom Beat up a Chinese Kid …

Now, let’s dive into the world of Gavin Newsom. Our hotheaded governor attempted to prove his basketball skills, or lack there of, with a group of Chinese children.

But, instead of slam-dunking, things took an unexpected turn. Gavin tried to spin the ball on his finger, but honestly, it looked like he was trying to summon an alien invasion. Then, things got even stranger as he ended up…well, I’ll let you watch or listen to the episode for the full scoop. All we can say is, it’s truly a moment you’ll want to witness. We should probably call CPS on him.

Halloween Candy Theives

Have you seen the video? Picture this: an entire family swiping a bowl of candy left out for trick-or-treaters. I have some strong opinions on this candy heist. We’re left wondering important questions, like, “What are they teaching their kids?”

WW3 & GenZ

Also, is GenZ ready for WW3? If I’m being honest, which I am, I’m a little worried about those people defending freedom and protecting America.

We might be screwed.

If you haven’t already, it’s time to plug in your headphones or crank up the speakers and dive headfirst into this episode. Prepare for a rollercoaster of topics and emotions, all served with a side of humor and comments from the audience because this is a Freeloader Friday Live episode.

Aftershock Festival day 1

The Mikey Podcast rolled into Aftershock Festival’s day one like rock royalty, and trust me, it was anything but ordinary. We came for the music, and boy, did we get a helluva show! Now, let’s break down the highlights.

Nothing But Thieves: Surprisingly Dope! (Only because I wasn’t aware of how awesome they are)

Nothing But Thieves took the stage and completely blew us away. Their performance was unexpectedly dope, leaving us craving for more. These guys sure know how to rock and captivate the crowd. A fantastic set

Stone Temple Pilots: the OGs.

They came, they saw, they conquered. In fact, they might have just given their younger selves a run for their money. Honestly, I’ve seen the original STP and nothing against Scott Weiland (R.I.P.) but they might be better now.

AFI! Sure, they had some technical glitches, but did that stop them? Hell no! They kept rockin’, reminding us why we loved them in the first place. Technical issues? More like technicalities.

Pennywise vs. Interviewing Jose from Incubus: The Dilemma!

Unfortunately, I had to make a tough choice between catching Pennywise’s performance and interviewing Jose the drummer from Incubus. As much as it pained me to miss Pennywise, the opportunity to chat with Jose was too good to pass up. Sometimes, sacrifices have to be made.

Incubus: Unbelievable Talent and Nostalgic Vibes!

Choosing Incubus over Senses Fail turned out to be a fantastic decision. Incubus absolutely blew us away with their unparalleled talent and nostalgic vibes. Frontman Brandon Boyd’s voice sounded just as incredible as it did back in the day. And let’s not forget those mind-blowing covers of the Beatles and Pink Floyd – they nailed it!

And then came Avenged Sevenfold, just as weird, loud, and intense as expected. Their newer stuff might be a bit out there, but it’s a wild ride, and the metal opera vibes are a total bonus.

And who could forget the food? Hefty Gyro is a must-try – seriously delicious!

Oh, the highlight of highlights!

I met tons of you amazing Mikey Podcast Fans, took hella pictures, and even handed out some stickers. You’re the real rockstars, and we love ya!

So, what’s the deal? Day one was epic, but we’re not done yet. Day two, we’re coming for you like a headlining act at sunset 🤘🏼
